more of Sunny

Sunny is sleeping pretty as always, though now she has more on her plate than a quiet house and sauna-like window. We have a funny new resident, Tina. Tina is a fluffy, orange cat that was adopted when some friends from church moved back to the US a few weeks ago. When I say fluffy, she is as marshmallow-like as they get, though to her credit she isn't terribly fat; it's mostly fur.

Tina will be introduced in due time (when she's had some pictures taken) but for now she's busy learning to use the litter box and terrorizing Sunny. She brought a little more hassle into our apartment than anticipated (messes, a scratch on Sunny's nose, mutual cat screeching and hissing, and bringing out fear-induced 'accidents' from Sunny when chased) but is really the sweetest cat. She is fully grown, but was mostly an outdoor cat before, so she didn't have all the expected skills. I think she finally has it, so now we just need them to live in peace. She does have very endearing habits, however, and is affectionate in different ways than Sunny, like licking at pawing at your arm when she wants to be petted. Cleaning, training, and peacemaking is our current occupation! All this morning Sunny has been napping next to me with Tina in the same room, however, so maybe we're making progress.
